Be careful what steals your time
This is one of the hardest things I’ve dealt with, being highly empathetic and protective of people I care about I tend to hold back. Minimize myself for the ones I love. Always thinking I’m too much for holding onto my goals. There is however nothing wrong with holding onto the boundaries and values that boost you forward. This doesn’t mean making time for people is bad, it does however become bad when they monopolize and try to become the only focus in front of you. Find balance in your goals, dreams and love but don’t let someone’s intensity and obsession pull you from progress. Reality is they won’t be there down the road if you’re burning out fast and become completely mentally drained. Remember your self worth and value. It’s not wrong to set boundaries. It is wrong for someone not to respect your time and space. 💕

Time is undeniably one of our most precious assets, and managing it wisely is essential for personal growth and fulfillment. When you’re highly empathetic, it’s natural to prioritize others’ needs, sometimes at the expense of your own dreams and mental health. However, it’s crucial to recognize when relationships or situations begin to monopolize your time and energy in unhealthy ways. One common time thief highlighted is "love bombing," a behavior where someone inundates you with affection and promises too soon, creating pressure to rush commitments. Genuine relationships build over time and respect your space and pace. If a partner or anyone else in your life expects to be the sole focus, neglecting your goals or boundaries, it can lead to emotional burnout and derail your progress. Protecting your peace means embracing the power of clear boundaries. It’s not selfish to say no or to carve out time for your aspirations and self-care. Boundaries help maintain balance between caring for loved ones and pursuing your dreams. It’s also important to pause and evaluate who truly supports your growth — not just emotionally but in practical ways like respecting your financial goals and personal time. Remember, your time is valuable, and so is your mental health. Prioritize those who uplift you and honor your boundaries. This balance fosters long-term well-being and ensures that your relationships and personal ambitions can coexist harmoniously, rather than one consuming the other. By valuing yourself and your time, you pave the way for sustained success and happiness.
