Favorite Plants In My Collection

I am literally obsessed with collecting plants and this Spring I added so many, it is slightly ridiculous. I am making an effort to track the progress of each one, so maybe I’ll do little updates on here… Anyways, these are some of my current favorites (I love them all!).

1) SAGO PALM: This one is such a unique little tree. With its stout spiky trunk and sharp curling leaves, it is easy to identify. So far she has also proven to be very easy to care for. She loves the sun but has thrived in semi-shade. She retains a lot of water in her base so does not need to be watered too often, as long as the soil isn’t fully dry. 🌴

2) GINSENG FICUS: This bonsai tree is delightful with very chunky little “legs”, reminding me of a baby 😂 She hasn’t needed much maintenance at all, just bright indirect light and regular watering. She is just very fun to look at, catches a lot of attention. 🌳

3) CORNCOB CACTUS: This cactus is one I haven’t seen too often but has a very distinct look, kind of like a bunch of ears of corn falling over with these long spikes. As a cactus she requires very few waterings. Also, as with many cacti and succulents, she is very easy to propagate, which is always fun when you want to grow your collection or begin selling. Overall, one of my more interesting cacti. 🌵

4) MINI ROSES: So these lovely little plants are so cute and dainty. They love full sun and a healthy watering every few days. They also come in several beautiful colors. I have white, red, and pink ones. Unfortunately mine looked like they were dying only a few days after I got them; I underestimated how much sun they wanted. But I have successfully revived them and they are starting to bud again! 🌹

... Read moreIn my plant collection, I've encountered various species that offer unique aesthetics and care routines. The Sago Palm stands out with its spiky trunk and drought resistance, making it an ideal choice for beginners. The Ginseng Ficus, resembling a charming bonsai, captures attention effortlessly and requires minimal maintenance, thriving in indirect light. Additionally, the Corncob Cactus, while less common, showcases an intriguing shape and needs little water, making it perfect for succulent lovers who enjoy propagation. Lastly, Mini Roses provide stunning pops of color, requiring regular sun and water but rewarding you with beautiful blooms. If you're looking to start or enhance your own plant collection, consider incorporating these favorites for both beauty and ease of care. Happy planting! 🌱
