Going Natural:)
By far, one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My hair feels healthy…I feel great. I didn’t trust the process at first. My fam was also iffy about me wanting to go natural too…but I’m so glad I listened to my gut and just did it. I cut off (most, still a few strands) of my relaxed hair.
Now that I’m on this journey…if u have any tips especially with how to budget in good hair care products…plz let me know🧎🏾♀️😩
Transitioning to natural hair can be both exciting and intimidating. Many individuals begin this journey after years of using chemical relaxers, facing doubts from family and friends about their decision. However, the transformation can lead to healthier hair and a renewed sense of self. When embarking on a journey to embrace natural hair, it’s crucial to understand the right products and techniques that can promote hair health. This might include selecting sulfate-free shampoos, hydrating conditioners, and natural oils such as coconut or jojoba oil that aid in moisture retention. Additionally, for those on a budget, consider DIY treatments that utilize everyday kitchen ingredients like avocado, honey, and olive oil for deep conditioning treatments. Engaging with online communities through hashtags like #naturalhairjourney and #embracenaturalhair can provide support and valuable tips from others who have successfully made the switch. Finances can be a significant concern when investing in hair care; therefore, sharing tips with fellow natural hair enthusiasts and learning about store sales, bulk buying, or sampling products can help. Finally, celebrating progress is essential. Documenting your journey through photos and journaling your experiences can motivate you and others to stay committed to the natural hairstyle journey. Remember, each head of hair is unique, so listen to your hair and choose what works best for you!
