If you’re looking for a unique dining experience in Singapore, Hey Kee offers more than just great food. The restaurant’s 1980s Hong Kong theme creates an immersive atmosphere that transports you back in time, adding charm and nostalgia to your meal. From the moment you enter, the décor, music, and even retro costumes available for free dress-up highlight the attention to detail in crafting a memorable visit. One of my favorite highlights was trying the Stir-Fried Crab with Black Truffle—a luxurious twist that added a fragrant, earthy aroma enhancing the sweet crab meat. The Curry Crab also stood out for its rich, spicy sauce that wasn’t overpowering. The Baked Eefu Noodles in Spicy Butter Cream Sauce was another delightful surprise, pairing buttery richness with the fresh crab flavor beautifully. Serving live crabs in 18 unique flavours at just $88 for two crabs makes this an excellent value, especially considering the portion size of approximately 500g per crab. The menu also features a variety of other dishes, like Temple Street Chicken with Spicy Chips and Crab Roe Baked Rice, which complement the crab offerings and provide satisfying options for all palates. Booking a table on a weekday is recommended, especially if you want to try the full range of flavours during their lunch or dinner service starting from 15 June. You can even choose to dine in their VIP room complete with a KTV set, perfect for celebrations and group gatherings seeking an exclusive, lively atmosphere. In all, Hey Kee not only satisfies crab lovers but also gives diners a joyful peek into a nostalgic Hong Kong vibe, making it a must-visit for both food enthusiasts and those who appreciate themed dining experiences in Singapore.
