First book was damaging in the right sort of way and really brought you into your feelings. It took me back to being in school and the constant feeling of trying to fit in. I loved the emotions and relationships in the book and it all felt so realistic to what it's like being a teenager. HOWEVER, I couldn't get over the fact she wore tiaras?? I felt like this part of the book just felt really childish? I felt like the ending was just kinda rushed? I get it was supposed to play into your feelings with how you finally get someone/ something and how it can get taken away at any point and the whole story is about if he had been with her and not with the other girl at the time but cmon you could've given her an extra night or so?!!
The second book was very damaging because it made me think about how death can accidentally happen in a relationship, and how grief can affect a person in so many ways including pregnancy at a young age. I wish that the author could put a little bit more perspective on Finny’s perspective. (I hugged my boyfriend very long after it I read this.)
