why dead apps might be a good thing

i see people on here all the time talking about how this is a dead app and they can’t become an influencer or blow up, blah blah. personally i find this app super relaxing and lowkey, similar to pintrest or tumblr in it’s prime (some of you oldies might remember it lol)

1) lower stimulation apps might be a good thing guys!! we are constantly bombarded with fast paced bits of content that completely fry our dopamine receptors and make us unable to appreciate the simpler things in life. lemon8 is much slower (compared to tiktok and ig)

2) i’m tired of seeing dumbass influencers who don’t work a real job and just open pr boxes for a living!! like show me tips and tricks from someone that actually has to grind for their living, budget, etc. influencers may be glamorous, but i can’t relate to their lifestyle because i work 36-48 hours a week.

3) the targeted ads are genuinely so irritating and i hate having to sift through them to look at real content. thankfully this is not really present on here :) yay

those are my thoughts i guess! ur allowed to disagree but this is just me personally lmfao

... Read moreIn today's fast-paced digital landscape, many users express frustration over overstimulating social media platforms dominated by algorithms and influencers. Apps like Lemon8, often dubbed 'dead apps', provide a refreshing escape from this chaos, allowing users to engage in a more peaceful online environment. 1) Lower stimulation is essential in a world overwhelmed by quick, flashy content that can desensitize our dopamine responses. Slower-paced apps encourage mindfulness and appreciation of everyday life, promoting better mental health. 2) Unlike mainstream influencers showcasing an unattainable lifestyle, Lemon8 emphasizes real-life experiences and practical advice from everyday users. This shift allows users to connect with relatable content and gain insights from those who truly understand the challenges of balancing work and personal life. 3) The absence of targeted ads on Lemon8 creates a more focused content experience, allowing users to enjoy authentic posts without distractions. This aspect enhances user satisfaction and fosters a sense of community. Ultimately, engaging with so-called dead apps can lead to a more enriching and enjoyable social media experience, promoting authentic connections and a healthier mindset.
