What should I do to my hair?
I’ve been doing the same thing with my hair for so many years, it’s time for a switch up. Typically I get:
- roots darker by a shade or two
- keep lighter pieces & money pieces
- tones rest of hair an ash brown
I’ve tried so many times to go lighter, and I always hate it. I definitely have to keep it darker. But I’m out of ideas. The past 2 winters I have been adding some red to my hair and I absolutely love it, but it’s still summer and I’m heading to the beach 2 days after my hair appointment next week, so I’m debating just doing what I always do and then the red the next appointment? I’m not sure, I don’t know what to do 😔
What do you guys think I should do at my next appointment??

Switching up your hairstyle can rejuvenate your look and boost your confidence. If you're considering different shades and techniques, here are some trends to inspire you: 1. **Balayage and Ombre:** These techniques offer soft, natural-looking color transitions. They work well with darker hair and can introduce lighter dimensions without a harsh line. A balayage may mix well with your existing ash brown while allowing lighter pieces to gracefully emerge. 2. **Bold Colors:** Adding red highlights can make a striking statement, especially during summer. Consider warming up your look with shades like copper or auburn; they look stunning in the sun! 3. **Layered Cuts:** Sometimes a fresh haircut can make all the difference. Adding layers can provide movement and texture to your hair, making it easier to style. 4. **The Power of Treatment:** If you're making changes, think about moisturizing treatments after coloring. They can keep your hair healthy and vibrant, especially if you often switch between darker and lighter tones. 5. **Consult with Your Stylist:** Discuss your options with a professional to find the right color palette that complements your skin tone. They can also give advice based on the health of your hair. Whatever choice you make, ensure it feels true to who you are while allowing for room to experiment!
