Cut off any deadweight

Outgrowing friends or letting go of people that don't serve you is a crucial step towards maintaining mental and emotional health. While it can be challenging to cut off deadweight relationships, it allows you to focus on connections that truly support your growth. Social media often magnifies these changes with unfollowing sprees or noticing who removes you from their circles. These digital cues can help identify relationships that may no longer be positive or reciprocal. For example, if followers watch your life but don’t engage or comment, it might indicate a distance or disinterest that’s worth recognizing. Pruning your social network isn’t about harsh judgment but about fostering an environment where positivity and mutual support thrive. Letting go of toxic friendships doesn’t mean you are unsupportive, but rather that you’re making space to let in new, healthier connections. A good practice is to regularly reflect on your relationships and ask yourself if the people in your life uplift you or drain your energy. Saying goodbye to those who continuously bring negativity allows you to experience greater happiness and personal growth. Remember, your time and mental well-being are valuable, so invest them wisely by keeping meaningful and inspiring relationships alive.
