Failed Crochet Project = Forbidden Ramen

I was following a YouTube tutorial while crocheting this when I realized I got the size wrong. I really didn’t want to start over so I kept going only to realize I reallllyyy needed to start over.

I think the worst part about starting this project over is the fact that I strained my wrist from crocheting too much for too long.

Oh well 😓

What I did learn however is to start doing wrist stretches before crocheting.

So learn from my mistake and remember to do wrist stretches and take frequent breaks when crocheting 🫡.

... Read moreCrocheting can be a relaxing and enjoyable hobby, but it's essential to approach it with care to avoid injuries like wrist strain, which is common among enthusiasts. Many crocheters face challenges, particularly when following tutorials or trying new patterns. If the sizing is incorrect, it can lead to frustration and the need for a complete redo. To enhance your crocheting experience, consider the following tips: 1. **Wrist Stretches**: Implement wrist stretches into your routine to prevent strain while crocheting. Simple exercises such as wrist flexor and extensor stretches can keep your joints flexible and reduce stiffness. 2. **Take Frequent Breaks**: Don’t push through discomfort. Regular breaks can help you avoid fatigue and allow your hands to rest, ultimately improving the quality of your crafting. 3. **Improved Techniques**: Use ergonomic hooks designed to alleviate stress on your hands. Consider the weight and size of the yarn, as lighter materials can make your projects more manageable. 4. **Learn from Errors**: Embrace mistakes as a part of the learning journey. Each failed project offers a chance to understand crocheting better, honing your skills for the future. Remember, it's okay to start over or adjust your work. this is one of the many reasons I love my ball winder... if I have to frog a lot like this, just hook it up and start winding. it'll frog it for you and no forbidden ramen

...Why did this picture make my fat@ss hungry?! 😭 I gotta make myself some lunch... If you ever want to, I say invest in a yarn winder. Turns the skeins into cakes, making it easier to crochet, sorta.
