Tea light air dry clay ghosts

These were so easy to make and turned out so perfect. I used air dry clay, rolled it out and cut a circle out of it. I then formed it into the ghost shape I wanted, cut out the eyes and mouth with a tiny straw and put it on an empty small bottle I had to dry.

I plan on painted it with ModPodge later so it will be a little more protected. But, they fit perfect over the little battery tea light candles.

My granddaughter thought these were the funniest things to make!!!👻

This craft not only allows for creativity but also offers a meaningful activity for families, especially when kids participate. First, gather your materials: air dry clay, a rolling pin, a straw for cutting, and small bottles or bases for drying the clay forms. Roll the clay to about a quarter-inch thickness and use a circular cutter or a cup to shape the body of your ghost. To create the face, gently press the straw into the clay to form eyes and a mouth, giving your ghost personality. Once your ghost shapes are ready, allow them to dry completely on the bottle or a flat surface. To add durability, painting your ghosts with Mod Podge or acrylic paint is a great idea. After drying, these charming little ghosts fit perfectly over battery-operated tea light candles, creating a warm and eerie glow that adds to the Halloween ambiance. Not only is this an enjoyable crafting session, but it also results in unique decorations that can be used year after year. Plus, if you're hosting a Halloween party or decorating your home, these air dry clay ghosts make for excellent conversation starters!
