Patience W/ God 🫶🏽💚
It’s going to happen #godisgood #patience #christian #healwithlo
Hey everyone! Let's talk about something that's probably challenged all of us at one point or another: patience with God. It sounds simple, right? Just wait. But in a world that moves at lightning speed, where we expect instant gratification, waiting on God can feel like the hardest thing to do. I’ve been there, staring at my prayers, wondering why certain things weren't happening according to my timeline. There were moments of doubt, frustration, and even a little bit of spiritual whining (let's be honest!). But through it all, I've slowly, imperfectly, learned to embrace the beauty—and the struggle—of being patient with God, understanding that His timing is always perfect, even if it feels agonizingly slow to us. So, what does 'patience with God' truly mean? It's more than just waiting idly. For me, it's an active, hopeful trust. It’s believing with all your heart that God hears your prayers, that He has a plan far greater than you can imagine, and that He will act at the precise moment it will bring the most glory to Him and the most good to you. It means surrendering our control and allowing Him to be God. Here are a few things that have really helped me on this journey: Anchor Yourself in Scripture: When I feel my patience wearing thin, I turn to God's Word. Verses about waiting, endurance, and God's faithfulness are like a balm to my soul. Remembering stories like Abraham waiting for Isaac, or Joseph waiting in prison, reminds me that God's delays are not His denials. They are often preparation. Practice Active Waiting: Instead of just twiddling my thumbs, I try to use the waiting period productively. This might mean deepening my prayer life, serving others, or working on personal growth. When we actively seek God and His will even in the waiting, we find purpose in the process. It transforms waiting from a passive state to an engaged one. Cultivate a Heart of Gratitude: It’s easy to focus on what we don't have or what hasn't happened yet. But shifting my perspective to gratitude for what God has already done, and what He is currently doing, drastically changes my outlook. A grateful heart has less room for impatience and more room for peace. Talk to Someone: Sometimes, just sharing my struggles with a trusted friend or mentor helps immensely. Knowing I'm not alone in feeling impatient offers comfort and often provides new perspectives or encouraging words that I needed to hear. Remember God's Character: He is good. He is loving. He is faithful. He is all-knowing. He wants what's best for us. When I truly lean into these truths about God's character, my ability to trust Him with my timeline naturally grows. He's not forgetting about me; He's crafting something beautiful. Being patient with God isn't a one-time decision; it's a daily, sometimes hourly, choice. It's about letting go of our own expectations and embracing His divine wisdom. And you know what? Every time I choose patience, even when it's hard, my faith grows stronger. I see His hand more clearly, and I experience a peace that truly surpasses all understanding. It truly is going to happen, in His perfect time.
Welcome! Can’t wait to see more from you in the future💛
