time don't wait for no one
I've always found myself resisting the idea of wearing a watch, feeling it was unnecessary or even uncomfortable. However, as the saying goes, time waits for no one, and I learned that being aware of time doesn't have to mean constantly checking a wristwatch. In fact, I realized that keeping track of time can be as simple as noticing the environment around you, like a wall clock at home or cues from the people you care about. One experience stands out: a close friend once mentioned he was on his way to meet me, assuming I wouldn’t mind if he didn’t stick to a schedule because I don’t wear a watch. Little did he know, I was staying just as mindful of time as he was, using other ways to keep track—like the wall clock in my living room or the phone’s clock app. It was a gentle reminder that even if we choose not to wear traditional timepieces, we are still tuned in to the inevitable passing of time. This awareness helped me appreciate time more deeply, understanding that it is a precious resource that keeps moving forward, regardless of our wishes. It pushed me to be more punctual and respectful of others’ time while also reminding me to be present in every moment. Instead of ignoring time, embracing its flow can motivate us to live more purposefully. I believe this mindset shift is crucial, especially in today’s fast-paced world. Time management doesn’t have to mean stress; it can mean being more attuned to the rhythms of life and valuing each minute. Whether or not you prefer wearing a watch, the key is to develop your own ways of honoring time so it doesn’t slip away unnoticed. This personal experience truly reshaped how I view and value every moment, reinforcing that time indeed waits for no one.
