NOW READING
It took me a long time to transition from reading hard copy books to using a kindle. I loved holding a book and turning the pages, measuring how long until I finished. I also liked flipping pages to see what happened next or at the end before I actually finished the book (yes, I Google the end of movies while I'm watching with family at home) because I want to know NOW.
Eventually, gave in and got a kindle. What really sold me on the kindle was the fact that I could buy a book without leaving home, have it immediately, AND I could read at night without the light.
Then amazon started showing their true colors (or lack thereof). That, along with the fact that kindle could take books back (I couldn't figure out why I couldn't reread one of my books that was on my shelf). I researched and found the Kobo. I wanted one without realizing I didn't need it. I could use the app.
I've downloaded the app on my iPads and phone and purchased my first book, This is My America by Kim Johnson, and I'm LOVING this experience! I'm not turning back!
The Kobo is similar but seems better than the kindle. I don't know if or when I'll by a Kobo, but I'm not going back to kindle land.
Sidenote: I'm a former high school now middle school educator who alternates between YA and "regular" books.
Sidenote 2: amazon and kindle spelled lowercase on purpose.
