Why I’m Doing it

So in the last couple of days I’ve been contemplating participating in the 75 Hard challenge.

The reasons as to why I’m doing it are as follows:

🧑🏾‍🦱 My Son. That’s the biggest reason. I need to be healthy for him. I want to be able to run around and play with him. As he grows and gets interested in sports I want to help him practice. He needs me at my best and I need to be a great mother to him.

👩🏾‍🦱 Myself. I’m doing it for me. I need to instill healthy habits in myself if I plan to instill them into him. I want to get back to my old athletic body. I want to feel more confident in my clothing. And most importantly I want to be proud of what’s on the outside just as much as I am for what’s on the inside.

And lastly 🩺 My Career. I’m currently an EMT. But I am also in school to become a nurse and a paramedic. Is need to be at peak physical and mental health in order to care for my patients. While yes at the state I’m in I can work just fine. But why settle for fine care when I can give excellent care. I want to be a motivation for my patients and not just a voice saying what they should do. I want longevity in this career as well. I don’t want my body to give out on my at 35 because I didn’t take care of it at 26.

To end this off I just want to say, thank you to those of you I see on this app working your butts off to be better. You’re truly a motivating force.
