Bye Bye Locs

So I officially combed out all my locs and gave myself a custom color and silk press and trim.

Combing out these locs was not easy. I lost some hair but everything you see was just the shed hair after a year.

I was giving Cynthia the doll right after.

Lifted my hair and not that surprisingly the integrity of my hair was still intact.

Went on to tone and color have two peekaboo skunk stripes in the front that blend well with my color.

Deep conditioned right before the silk press and the movement was still there. I also trimmed about 5 inches off so I went from right above waist length to bra strap length.

I have half my head shaved so it looks a lot thinner than it truly is.

Now I’m on to grow my hair back to what it was. So stick along for that journey. 💋

Last picture is me two hours into a 12hour shift.
