In 2023, I watched a total of 282 movies, meticulously curating a list of favorites and disappointments. Among my top five films were classics like "Meet John Doe" (1941) and modern gems like "Pearl" (2022), showcasing a vibrant mix of storytelling and artistry. On the other hand, films such as "Gigi" (1958) and "Trolls: Band Together" (2023) failed to resonate with me, highlighting the subjective nature of film appreciation. It's fascinating how certain movies can evoke powerful emotional reactions, whether through powerful performances or thought-provoking narratives. Throughout the year, I explored various genres, from electrifying adventures to avant-garde animation, leading to a deeper understanding of cinematic trends and audience expectations. Engaging with fellow movie lovers on TikTok enriched this experience, allowing for lively discussions and shared inspirations. As we transition into 2024, I look forward to discovering more cinematic treasures and continuing this journey with my community. Cheers to a new year filled with new films to watch and discuss!
