I found that applying a hydrating serum before my moisturizer adds an extra layer of moisture and helps soothe dry patches. It's also crucial to stay hydrated from within by drinking plenty of water throughout the day. Sometimes, dry skin can worsen due to environmental factors such as low humidity, cold weather, or harsh soaps, so switching to gentle cleansers and using a humidifier at home made a significant difference. In addition, I recommend incorporating facial oils or overnight masks into your routine once or twice a week to replenish and strengthen your skin barrier. Avoiding hot showers and limiting exfoliation are other key steps that prevent further drying. Overall, hydration is the key to managing dry skin effectively, so treat your skin to the right products and habits that provide continuous moisture and comfort.
