And don't even get me started on Gebel's flight – it's an incredible mobility 'stat' that makes certain areas trivial, but you have to know when to bring him out. Learning the recovery rates and optimal usage for each character's special moves really feels like I'm optimizing my party's 'power stats' for different situations. My personal breakthrough came when I realized I could cycle through characters to manage their individual sub-weapon meters, effectively giving me more overall firepower for longer! And what about SCORE? While not directly impacting your ability to clear a stage, chasing a high score adds a whole layer of gameplay. For me, it became a personal challenge. It's like a 'efficiency stat' – how well can I clear a stage, collect all the power-ups, and defeat enemies without taking too much damage? It forces you to master enemy patterns and stage layouts, which indirectly makes you a better player by refining your 'defensive' and 'offensive' implied stats. I found myself replaying levels just to improve my score, which in turn helped me find hidden items and strategies I'd overlooked before. Ultimately, while Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon doesn't have traditional RPG stats, understanding how your characters' unique abilities, HP, and resource management play out is vital. It transformed my experience from a frantic button-mashing session to a strategic, rewarding adventure.
