Last day in New Jersey ❤️‍🩹

Dear diary,

So in August last year,

I came to my first apartment in the US

A studio apartment that just had a mattress

Now almost after a year of living here, I am leaving New Jersey to move back in the Jersey state.

I loved my time here.

I lived near the waterfront facing the NYC skyline and it has been a dream whenever I went walking there.

The year had so much to offer, the good the bad. The best the worst.

Oh I’ll miss New York so much. I could just reach there so fast.

But life is a journey and whatever this one year has taught me, it feels like I lived a life time in 10 months. From leaving my job to leaving family behind, travelling to 3 countries.

So much I can fill pages and pages(and probably I will on my flight back home) writing all about it.

I am going home.

Cannot wait to hug my mom.

Cannot wait to cry when I see my sister.

And cannot wait to fight with my brother and eat with my father.

Onwards and upwards 👆🏻

... Read moreMoving can be an emotional experience, especially when it comes to leaving a place that has become home. As I reflect on my time in New Jersey, I think about the lessons learned during my stay, from the fast-paced life of the NYC skyline to the intimate moments shared with loved ones. The transition back home is not just about physically moving; it entails a transformation of experiences and memories. Throughout my year, I discovered the importance of embracing vulnerability. Each moment spent in the studio apartment on the waterfront filled me with joy and nostalgia. The challenges faced, such as leaving my job and traveling abroad, shaped my perspective and resilience. Whether it’s the laughter shared during family meals or the tears when parting ways, these moments remind us that connections matter. As I prepare for my next chapter, I'm excited to reunite with my family, cherishing every hug and squabble. Moving back is not the end but a new beginning, filled with opportunities to create more lasting memories. For anyone planning a move, remember that every ending leads to a new start, and every experience is a chance for growth. Cherish your journey and embrace all that comes with it.
