If you're hunting for that perfect family getaway or just a relaxing day out in South Florida, let me tell you about my absolute favorite discovery: DuBois Park in Jupiter, FL. This place is genuinely one of the most incredible parks I've ever visited, and the best part? It offers free entrance and free parking! You really can't beat that, especially when planning a budget-friendly outing for the whole family across Jupiter. It’s truly a standout among things to do in Jupiter Florida with kids. What truly sets DuBois Park apart, especially for those with little ones, is its incredible shallow inlet, sometimes affectionately called the 'blue lagoon' by locals. Imagine a natural, crystal-clear swimming area right on the coast, with virtually no waves – it’s absolutely perfect for kids to splash and play safely. My children absolutely adored it, building sandcastles and wading in the calm, warm water. As a parent, having lifeguards on duty gave me such peace of mind, allowing me to relax and soak in the beautiful surroundings without constant worry. This feature alone makes it a must-visit for families, providing a safe and enjoyable environment that’s hard to find elsewhere in Jupiter Beach. Beyond the amazing swimming area, DuBois Park is packed with amenities that make it an ideal all-day destination. They've thoughtfully provided plenty of picnic tables, making it an excellent spot for a casual picnic date or a lively family barbecue. We saw so many families grilling up delicious meals and enjoying the Florida sunshine – the aroma was fantastic! For the more adventurous, there are designated areas where you can easily launch a kayak, canoe, or paddleboard. Exploring the calm Loxahatchee River and Jupiter Inlet from the water offers a unique perspective of the area's natural beauty, and it's something I highly recommend for anyone looking to add a bit of adventure to their trip. And there's more than just beach fun! I was pleasantly surprised to discover the historic DuBois House museum right within the park grounds. While it's open on select dates and times, it offers a fascinating glimpse into local history, showcasing the life of early settlers and the area's heritage. Checking out the museum provides a nice educational break from all the sun and sand, adding another layer of interest to your visit. Don’t forget to check their schedule before you go, as touring the house truly enriches the experience. When planning your visit, consider making it a full Jupiter adventure. After enjoying the serene waters and facilities of DuBois Park, you could explore other nearby attractions. Cato's Bridge, for instance, is just a stone's throw away and is a popular spot for fishing or simply enjoying panoramic views of the water – perfect for a leisurely stroll. You might also head over to other parts of Jupiter Beach for different vibes, or simply grab a map of Jupiter Florida and explore the charming town itself. DuBois Park truly offers an unbeatable combination of relaxation, fun, and natural beauty for everyone. It’s definitely a spot I recommend adding to your Jupiter, FL itinerary – you won't regret it! My family and I can’t wait to go back!
