Our amazing 3-in-1 driver, photographer & guide in Jeju ✨🫶

Legit look no further - Shawn has been an amazing guide and driver to us during our time with him

We got his service to watch the sunrise at Sunrise Peak & to go to Udo Island. He was punctual and polite, and even gave us time to snooze in between. He even explained to us the history behind certain figures and monuments such as the two grandfathers that guarded the gates & the meaning behind the wooden sticks to block the gate as well

He brought us to local restaurants and gems within Udo Island where we had the most amazing peanut icecream ever!

Most guides will only drive you around or tell you some history but Shawn even took amazing photos of us (its going to be my new dp HAHA)

Because of him, we got to experience sitting in a car while on the ferry to Udo Island and back :)

Okay another thing! He gave us a lesson on the different types of seaweed - what is edible and not, showed us conch shells and abalone shells etc. We even got to see the female divers at Udo Island!!

Honestly I wouldn’t know who else to recommend to get such a local experience other than Shawn. We will definitely engage his services when we are back. 🤝❤️✨

If yall want his contact details, feel free to PM me!

... Read moreIf you’re planning a visit to Jeju Island, having a local guide like Shawn can transform your experience completely. Many tourists just visit the main attractions, but a knowledgeable guide can introduce you to off-the-beaten-path spots and authentic local experiences. For example, witnessing the sunrise at Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak) is much more than just catching a beautiful view; it’s about understanding its geological history and cultural significance, which a local guide can skillfully share. On Udo Island, beyond the typical sightseeing, having a driver-guide means you can relax and fully immerse yourself in the island’s charm. Shawn’s punctuality and kindness gave us plenty of comfort, including a chance to nap while traveling, something rare during an active tour. The personalized stops at local restaurants to try specialties like peanut ice cream highlight the benefit of insider knowledge. Knowing where to eat is half the adventure! The cultural lessons were a highlight—learning about edible seaweed varieties and examining unique shells gave us a richer appreciation for Jeju’s marine biodiversity. Seeing the female haenyeo divers, who are iconic to Jeju’s heritage, was truly unforgettable. These experiences deepen your connection to the island beyond visuals. Capturing your trip with beautiful photos taken by your guide is an added bonus that many travelers overlook. It ensures you have lasting memories without worrying about your own camera skills or asking strangers. It’s also a great way to share your adventures with friends and family. Overall, engaging with a 3-in-1 guide/driver/photographer like Shawn elevates your Jeju trip by combining convenience, knowledge, and personalization. If you seek to explore Jeju’s culture, natural beauty, and culinary delights authentically, I highly recommend finding a similar local expert. They can turn a simple visit into a meaningful journey filled with stories, tastes, and sights only locals know.
