The Importance of Staying the Course
Good Evening People!
At only 12, Tommy fell in love with golf. He’d watch players from behind the fence at the course where his dad worked. Whenever his dad got distracted, he’d sneak in swings with old clubs and shag balls. Inspired by the pros he admired from afar, Tommy practiced every spare moment, rain or shine.
Years later, Tommy got the chance of a lifetime—playing a round with a legendary golfer. Nerves high, he remembered his roots and focused on the game he’d grown up loving. Shot by shot, he stayed composed. By the 18th hole, Tommy had done the unthinkable—he’d won.
The legend smiled and said, “You’ve got something special, kid.”
Tommy’s secret? He stayed the course. Through every missed shot and setback, he never stopped swinging.
Happy Freedom Friday, my Weekday Warriors!
As you head into this beautiful weekend of 80-plus degree weather, take a moment to reflect on how far you’ve come. Now, think how much farther you could go if you did that one thing today that’s been holding you back from reaching where you truly want to be tomorrow.
KC metro weather started in the lower 50s and climbed to nearly 80 this afternoon. Expect temperatures to cool into the lower 60s this evening.

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.” – Winston Churchill
We all face moments where doubt creeps in and turning back feels easier than pressing on. But real growth comes from resilience—from staying the course when quitting seems easier.
The most meaningful victories often come just beyond the point where most give up. It’s not about perfection—it’s about consistency and commitment.
So listen up people—the storms, delays, and detours will come. But those who keep moving forward with belief and grit are the ones who rise.
So the next time you feel like quitting, remember why you started, square your shoulders, and push on—your breakthrough might be one step away.
