Gloria Ellis was sitting on the couch watching the news when she heard a knock at her door. She opened the door to a strange man asking if she had a spare key to her next door neighbor’s house. Her next door neighbor was Winifred Mellar, a 73 year old widow. As she was looking for the key, she realized she had seen the man before; she asked him if he was the same man who was at Winifred’s house that afternoon. While he did not respond, he did seem quite annoyed as they walked next door. Gloria Ellis cried out upon entrance of the home for she had never seen anyone dead before let alone a dear friend of hers. As the days went on, this strange man’s face began to appear on the news, leading Gloria to walk into the police station; for her friend did not -just- pass away. She was murdered.
