These 4 muscles work together to keep the humeral head in the centrated in the glenoid cavity of your shoulder joint for optimal positioning.

They are collectively known as the SITS muscles, an acronym for their individual names:

-Supraspinatus

-Infraspinatus

-Teres minor

-Subscapularis

The first three all hang out on the posterior side of the scapula, while subscapularis is on the anterior side.
