POV: you’re flying high ✈️
A look at my Travel prep before my trip to Chicago last month! This was my first time on a plane!
Travel Essential
1. Waterproof toiletry bag
2. Some type of air freshener
3. Lotion
4. Hand sanitizer
5. African net sponge
6. Mini mirror
7. Sunscreen
8. Disposable face towels
Flying for the first time can be a mix of excitement and nervousness, and having the right essentials can make all the difference. From my experience preparing for my trip to Chicago, I found that packing a waterproof toiletry bag was essential to keep my items safe and organized, especially during security checks. Bringing along an air freshener helped create a pleasant personal space on the plane, while lotion was a lifesaver to combat the dry air at high altitudes. Hand sanitizer kept me feeling hygienic after handling shared surfaces, and the African net sponge was a handy way to stay fresh during my travels. A mini mirror turned out to be surprisingly useful for quick touch-ups, and sunscreen was a must-have for when I stepped out in Chicago's sun. Disposable face towels saved space and offered convenience without the hassle of carrying bulky linens. An unexpected tip is to bring some noise-canceling earbuds or headphones to help block out cabin noise, which can improve comfort and rest during the flight. Also, bringing an empty reusable water bottle that you can fill after security ensures you stay hydrated without having to rely solely on the limited drink service. If you're planning your first flight, consider creating a checklist like mine to ensure you don't forget these small but important items. Ultimately, these travel prep strategies helped me enjoy my first plane experience with confidence and comfort, making the trip even more memorable.
