Going through gallbladder surgery was a significant event; having Paramore's “Ain’t It Fun” play in the operating room added a lighthearted touch that helped ease the stress. It reminded me how music can uplift us even in tough times. Beyond the health scare, I found comfort and happiness in simple pleasures around Fresno. Exploring local favorites like Japanese cuisine at Tsukiji all-you-can-eat and refreshing drinks from Bobaology brought delightful breaks in daily life. Also, small moments at the gym and enjoying unique treats like Bordeaux chocolate chip and peanut butter mint chip ice creams made May special. Embracing a mindset to "stay weird and kind" really boosted my spirits during recovery and reflection. This experience taught me the importance of resilience and finding joy in everyday things—whether it’s food, music, or quirky gym moments. As I gear up for June, I feel more prepared to embrace whatever comes next, appreciating life’s twists and turns even more. For anyone facing health challenges or life’s unpredictabilities, I recommend crafting your personal comfort routines and leaning on good vibes, whether through music, food, or quirky habits. Here’s to brighter days and a joyful June ahead!
