Squid Game Experience In NYC

In Ktown NYC, there’s an experience around $50 per person that lets you play through 5 games similar to Squid Games!!

First was a memory test. You have to walk across the green tiles and not step on the red!

Second was a marble throwing game. You throw your marbles into a shape (the dalgona shapes) and if you’re in the shape, you take everyone’s marbles. The more marbles you have at the end, the more points you have!

Third was battleship! Super cool to see the game in the board with the sound effects!

Fourth was hide and seek. We all know that…

Fifth was a random play where two players go against each other and play Jack in the box!

Overall great experience as a one time event.

Beyond just knowing there are 5 games, here's a deeper dive into what you can expect and why it might be worth your $50. First off, finding this spot in Ktown NYC is part of the fun – it truly feels like stepping into a hidden world. Booking online beforehand is a must, as spots fill up fast for these pop-up style events. The entire experience usually lasts about 60-90 minutes, giving you plenty of time to fully immerse yourself. Upon arrival, the atmosphere immediately transports you. Walking through an illuminated hallway, you're greeted by staff who set the tone perfectly. The first game, the memory test, involves carefully navigating green tiles. My tip? Pay close attention to the patterns, as one wrong step and you're out! Next up, the infamous marble game. This was a highlight for me! You're in a dedicated marbles room, trying to strategically throw your marbles into specific shapes. It’s all about precision and a bit of luck. The stakes feel surprisingly high when you’re vying for others' marbles! Then it's onto battleship, set in a really cool green-lit room. Seeing the game come to life on the board with sound effects really adds to the immersion. It’s a classic game, but with a unique twist in this setting. The hide-and-seek game was another favorite. We were ushered into a dark room with colorful blocks, and seeing the timer count down with a figure reminiscent of the 'Red Light, Green Light' doll on screen made it so thrilling. My advice here is to find the sneakiest spot you can! Finally, the Jack in the Box game, where two players face off in a random play. This really tests your quick thinking and reaction time. While this isn't a 'Squid Game restaurant' in the traditional sense, there are plenty of amazing Korean BBQ spots and cafes right outside in Ktown if you want to grab a bite before or after your games. I recommend making a full evening out of it! Overall, if you're a fan of the show or just looking for a unique, interactive experience in NYC, this pop-up event is definitely worth checking out. It’s a fantastic one-time event that brings the thrill of Squid Game to life in a fun, engaging, and challenging way. Don't miss out if it's still running!
