✨🫶Embracing Vulnerability🫶✨
✨🪩I’m in my “loving my body the way it deserves” Era 🪩✨
I wasn’t sure how I wanted to introduce this topic on my profile but, last year I was diagnosed with an eating disorder and body dysmorphia and I have been in treatment ever since. It’s taken me a year to talk about it this openly, which is something I eventually wanted to do. Not to get famous or viral, just to have a place to share my progress and see how far I’ve come while boosting my confidence. Maybe gain support and make friends along the way 🤷🏻♀️
I plan on sharing more of this intuitive eating journey and nonscale victories moving forward and if you’re still here by then, thanks for watching 😌♥️

Vulnerability is often seen as a weakness, but for many people, it is a source of immense strength. Embracing vulnerability allows individuals to show their true selves, often fostering deeper connections with others. In the context of body image and recovery from eating disorders, embracing vulnerability can be a transformative experience. It means accepting oneself, imperfections and all, and sharing one’s journey—not just for validation but to inspire others. A large number of individuals face struggles with body dysmorphia and related eating disorders. According to recent studies, about 20 million women and 10 million men in the U.S. will suffer from a clinically significant eating disorder at some point in their lives. These numbers highlight the prevalence of the issue, which is often compounded by societal expectations and unrealistic beauty standards. Social media has become a powerful platform for individuals to share their recovery stories, promote body positivity, and create communities that encourage openness and acceptance. This online support plays a crucial role in recovery, providing a safe space for expression and connection. Moreover, intuitive eating is a crucial element in this journey. It is a method that encourages individuals to listen to their bodies and make peace with food. It emphasizes mindfully enjoying meals without guilt or restriction, leading to a healthier relationship with food and one's body. As you embark on your journey of embracing vulnerability, remember that every step counts. Documenting your experiences, sharing your outfits, and being honest about how you feel can create a ripple effect, encouraging others to do the same. The support and friendships built along the way can significantly enhance your healing process. Together, we can create a world where vulnerability is celebrated, and everyone feels free to express their true selves.
