The bug and Anti-Cheat have been fixed...Yeah?
So called in the last June, many gamers have a universal headache. After updating the Windows 11 security patch, there was a problem with the skyscreen that Microsoft had to rush out the KB5063060 emergency patch.
.
To ensure security against the extra skyscreen, Microsoft decided to block Easy Anti-Cheat-based devices from temporarily updating, but most recently there was good news. Because Microsoft is now unblocked.
.
Most recently, Microsoft removed the Windows 11 update block for those previously affected, allowing it to now update to version 24H2 as usual.
.
The problem originally came from the KB5060842 and KB5060999 patches released during Patch Tuesday, causing some machines to encounter BSOD problems or restart themselves, especially when playing Easy Anti-Cheat games like Fortnite, Apex Legends, Dead by Daylight, and many other E-Sport titles. This problem is directly related to ntoskrnl.exe and EasyAntiCheat _ EOS.exe files.
.
After unblocking, patches can be updated through Windows Update, but some machines may come across a warning message that Easy Anti-Cheat is still an unsupported version. The simple solution is to simply open the game for the system to update to a new version.
