Windows 11 is fully on Steam after Windows 10 is running out of support this October, causing many users to start upgrading to Windows 11.

A recent poll from the July 2025 Steam Hardware & Software Survey indicates that over 59.9% of players on Steam now use Windows 11, while Windows 10 is only 35%, and the number is continuing to decline, matching the same trend of Statcounter data.

This coincides with the timeline that Windows 10 will expire in October. Meanwhile, the hardware side began to move. When Nvidia announced it was preparing to stop supporting Windows 10 drivers in 2026, people who wanted to use newer screen cards or the latest game features had to move to Windows 11 for full performance.

Although Valve has yet to announce when Windows 10 will be supported, when the major ones begin to retreat, it is highly likely that multi-camp game developers will orient along.
