Microsoft is preparing a major facelift of the Edge browser. Shortly after the release of Copilot mode, it was recently released that the project uses the code name "Olympia," which is now open for testing in the Edge Canary experimental version, but who wants to try it, because it has more bugs and instability than usual, and some functions are not fully functional.

The interesting thing is that the new design is designed to focus on Copilot more conveniently and to simplify the face. The obvious point is that the Address Bar is moved up to the top of the window. It serves as both an omnibox and a built-in Copilot command area. Whether typing questions or commanding tasks through voice, it can be done immediately. It is a search center for both web and AI in one location.

The tab format also chooses whether to use vertical or horizontal. If vertical, all tabs are hidden in the dropdown menu, but if horizontal, they are placed under the new omnibox bar, which feels like Safari on iPadOS and macOS.

Microsoft has not officially announced Olympia, so there is not much data. It may be designed to match Copilot specifically to differentiate itself from its Chrome competitor, or it may be a major redesign to attract new users.
