Microsoft announced a new feature in Windows 11 that should be pleasing to the enterprise and IT admins because the system can now install updates from the first step of the new launch, known as the Out-of-the-box Experience (OOBE).

The goal is to make the machine available immediately after the first user logs in. Don't wait for a long update later. Anyone who has already bought a new computer has to wait ten minutes to get into it. You understand the difference here.

OOBE is a screen that appears after the first installation or power-up that allows us to log in to a Microsoft account and answer questions about privacy, backup and add-on features. It took some time to get to the desktop. This time, Microsoft added the option for system administrators to install quality updates along the way, making the machine more stable from scratch.

This feature is very suitable for organizations that have to give out machines to many employees, because every machine is available from unboxed. Don't waste time updating later.

But there are also restrictions. Must be Windows 11 version 22H2 or above in Enterprise, Pro, Education or SE versions only and must be managed through Microsoft Intune with the Enrollment Status Page (ESP) profile. The machine must have received the August 2025 OOBE update or at least the June 2025 out-of-security update.
