Afraid of IT, no work? 🍋

Windows 11 August 2025 Update (KB5063878) that solves security vulnerabilities creates a new problem for the average user to get hot. Instead of closing the Windows Installer-related CVE-2025-50173 vulnerability, it causes UAC (User Account Control) to bounce unnecessarily, especially for people who do not use the admin.

.

Many apps come across the full impact of Autodesk, old Microsoft Office models like Professional Plus 2010, or apps installed through MSI. Sometimes it's not just UAC bouncing around, but it's bouncing Error Code 1730 and not working at all.

.

Microsoft has already acknowledged the problem and suggested two temporary solutions. If you are a regular user, press Run as administrator to avoid repeated requests. In an IT team organization, you can use a Group Policy called Known Issue Rollback (KIR) to temporarily relieve symptoms. But this is not a permanent solution because Microsoft confirmed that it is looking for a solution, but it will have to wait for a new patch update.

.

The headache is that this problem is not only limited to Windows 11, but also to Windows 10 and many versions of Windows Server. It makes it impossible for non-admin users to open or repair certain apps. Many people have to remember to upgrade to continue using it. If anyone finds it, don't panic. Use these two temporary solutions. Wait for Microsoft to release a new patch to close the job again.

.
