Qualcomm unveiled its new Snapdragon X2 Elite and top-of-the-line Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme chips at the Snapdragon Summit 2025, the second generation after the first generation of X Elite. This round, Qualcomm claims the strongest on the PC Arm side. Now, the highlight is the 3nm architecture with up to 18 Oryon Gen 3 CPUs and speeds of up to 5.0GHz. It is the first Arm chip to do so.

On the graphic side, Qualcomm uses a new architecture, the Adreno X2, that says performance per watt is 2.3 times better than before. It supports multiple screens at once up to 5K / 60Hz or 4K / 144Hz, suitable for both running and playing games.

The AI segment also made a major upgrade with the 80 TOPS-strongest Hexagon NPU, which Qualcomm named the fastest NPU on laptops now, supporting Copilot + features and run-on-board AI tasks directly.

Of course, the wireless connection is full of both Snapdragon X75 5G modems with download speeds of up to 10Gbps, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4, with a new security feature, Snapdragon Guardian, that helps remotely track, lock, or delete data, suitable for enterprise use.

Qualcomm has claimed that this new generation of chips is 50% stronger than the first generation Snapdragon X Elite, scoring Single-core has added 39%, Multi-core score has added 50%, GPU score has added 2.3 times, NPU score has added 78%.
