Microsoft says there will be "Something Big" on Windows 11.
Microsoft came out saying there would be "Something Big" or a big update on Windows 11 by this week. After just announcing the end of Windows 10 support, go damping and release the final patch Tuesday update, but it still doesn't seem to have an out of release vest.
.
On Windows' X (or Twitter) account, it posted a puzzle saying that there was "Something Big" with a tweet that said, "Your finger is resting" and "It's time to rest your finger." It's enough to guess that the new feature will involve typing or input methods that may no longer require a hand.
.
Although Windows 11 already has voice and accessibility features, Microsoft has made it clear that it is on track to adjust the way users interact with all new systems. Voice will become the main input of the system. This means that in the future, we may no longer have to rely on keyboards or mice.
.
Back in August, Pavan Davuluri, chief executive of Microsoft, Windows and Devices, once said that the next generation of Windows (possibly Windows 11 26H2 or Windows 12) would be "smarter, more around you, and understandable in many ways." The system would be able to "understand what you're saying" and "know what you're doing," with all of this going to be driven by Copilot and the AI technology that Microsoft is developing.
.
In other words, Microsoft really wants to turn Windows into a user-savvy "personal assistant," and it recently launched MCP or Microsoft Copilot Platform support to pave the way for this idea. As a result, it seems that Thursday's announcement may not be just a small update, but a new step for Windows that we'll be looking forward to.
