Let's go, NVIDIA brushed off the news of the OpenAI deal.
Earlier, there was a wave of news from major US media that Nvidia may slow or even fall a huge partnership deal with OpenAI. The latter reportedly said that a strategic investment worth up to US $100 billion had not yet been able to move forward with plans announced a year ago, amid concerns within Nvidia about the AI market's harsh approach to business practices and competition.

According to the report, the agreement between Nvidia and OpenAI is still in the status of a letter of intent (LOI), which is not legally binding, and the actual investment has not yet taken place, prompting an interpretation that Nvidia may be reviewing its new investment direction, possibly moving from co-building a large infrastructure to joining a new round of OpenAI funding instead.

But the tide was quickly compromised when Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang confirmed himself that rumors of a conflict or a deal were "untrue" and just an overinterpretation of the facts. He reiterated that the relationship between Nvidia and OpenAI remained strong and that the two companies remained important technological partners.

He also indicated that Nvidia is certainly set to join OpenAI's next round of funding, which is expected to be one of the largest private equity funding in technology industry history, while expressing confidence that OpenAI will continue to innovate in powerful AI and drive further market growth in the long run.

On the other hand, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman also confirmed that the partnership with Nvidia remains smooth, praising Nvidia's chips as central to the current development of AI. The executive moves on both sides clearly reflect that the deal between Nvidia and OpenAI did not end as many parties were concerned. It definitely continues on the AI battleground.
