Another important part is moving the core components of the system to WinUI 3, a new UI framework, reducing latency and overhead at the platform level, resulting in a clear flow of common uses such as opening the Start menu or entering a folder.

At the same time, File Explorer, one of the most frequently criticized points, has undergone major improvements, reducing the latency of search, navigation and right-click menus, as well as increasing the speed of copying and moving large files, making basic everyday use more convenient and faster.

The developer side has also received subscriptions from this update. Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) has improved both file access efficiency, network connectivity, and simplified default setup procedures.

Microsoft has stated that all improvements will not come one-time, end, but will gradually release them as sub-updates throughout 2026, with customizations to suit each type of hardware, to provide Windows 11 with a consistently faster and more fluid user experience.
