This is mainly due to the huge demand on the Data Center and memory-intensive AI side. Chipmakers, meanwhile, are increasingly turning to memory focus for AI like HBM, resulting in a shortage of DRAM for the consumer market and a steady rise in prices.

The impact didn't stop just RAM, but spread to SSDs as well as core parts like the CPU and GPU, forcing stores to use a way to arrange bundles or issue strong promotions to pull sales.

However, this CPU Ram-Free deal is only a short-term promotion. It has now been discontinued and turned into another giveaway instead. The overview of the market in 2026 is becoming clear that we are entering another wave of high-cost, expensive core parts at the same time, consumers are becoming reluctant to assemble computers, and this kind of promotion may become more common.
