He indicated that Intel may have seen an increase in hybrid LGA1700 motherboards (supporting both DDR4 and DDR5) to help users upgrade gradually during periods of still high ram prices, seeing this approach as reflecting Intel's confidence in market demand.

An example is the ASRock H610M Combo II with 1 DDR4 slot and 2 DDR5 slots, but the limitation is that dual-channel DDR4 is not available, so it is better suited to economical lines than high-performance focused jobs.

This more serious specification hybrid motherboard part, such as the 2-channel DDR4 + 2-channel DDR5 or the Z790 chipset, Hallock says, is unanswered because it depends on the business plans and market opportunities of individual motherboard manufacturers, especially small brands, that may fill this gap.
