According to the information released, Microsoft wants Windows Update to distinguish drivers better, based not only on version numbers or dates that may confuse the system, but on internal data to select drivers that are more suitable for the machine. This reduces the likelihood of redundant driver problems or installing drivers that should not be selected.

However, this update does not necessarily mean that Windows Update has the latest version of the GPU driver as much as the web manufacturer. Users who want the highest performance, especially gaming lines, video editing or 3D work, should also install drivers directly from NVIDIA, AMD or Intel websites.
