I agree. I'm not stubborn.
Microsoft is preparing to add a new option for Windows 11 users to "remap the Copilot button" or change the command position on the Copilot button on the keyboard itself. After that, the button became an issue that a number of newer notebook users were not satisfied with, because in many models it replaced the original button like the Right Ctrl or the Right Click button.
.
Microsoft originally added the Copilot button as part of the AI PC standard from 2024, intending it to be a dedicated Copilot or Microsoft 365 Copilot button, but for some users, especially those who regularly use shortcuts, the disappearance of the Right Ctrl button or the Context Menu button makes actual use as inconvenient as before.
.
According to Microsoft's latest support document, Windows 11 will have a future update that adds options in the Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Keyboard menu. The user can determine the operation of the Copilot key. You can change it to the Right Ctrl, Context Menu key, or even the Start button.
.
Previously, some users had to solve problems with tools like PowerToys or AutoHotkey because the Copilot key was detected as a set of Windows + Shift + F23 characteristic shortcuts, but this kind of solution is not complete on all machines. Having an official option in Windows Settings should make it easier and more stable to use.
