Ban on children under 16 using social use. Agree?
Thai children are getting harder and harder to monitor, and they are starting to become an issue that many agencies have to keep an eye on because the problem is not only mobile play, but also developmental, mental health and online threats that children may not cope with.

Most recently, the Office of the Health Enhancement Fund, or the MP, reported that more than 93.10% of Thais use the Internet and spend an average of up to 7 hours, 54 minutes a day, or nearly 8 hours a day, while a group of young children is equally worrisome because 72.6% of 0-2 year olds spend more than one hour of screen time a day, which can affect learning, communication, and development according to age.

In addition to developments, Thai children and youth are exposed to a variety of online risks, including online bullying or Cyberbullying, sexual harassment, online gambling, and advertisements and content that may lead to risky behaviors such as electric cigarettes.

Make the congressman prepare a summary of a proposal on reducing screen time for children and youth to study the impact and feasibility of online media control measures in Thailand, determining whether additional requirements, rules, regulations or measures are required.

At the same time, the MP also collaborates with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, or DE, to create online shields for Thai children through surveillance of illegal websites, whistleblowing systems, promotion of media and digital knowledgeable skills, including collaboration between the public, private and civil society.

This is consistent with a number of countries that have begun to impose more intensive controls, such as Australia, which has a law banning children under the age of 16 from using social media and imposing a fine on platforms that fail to screen children's ages of up to A $49.5 million, or about $1,130 million.

For Thailand, however, it is not now a ban on children under 16 playing social immediately, but a study of guidelines and measures that suit the Thai context. Because reducing screen time is not just a ban on children using mobile phones, but a safe, balanced and non-victimized use of technology on the online world.
