3 things I definitely should have done in college!
1. I should have networked! I missed out on so many opportunities because I was afraid to get out of my comfort zone and build relationships. Networking can get you very far in life in and out of college.
2. I should have join some of the clubs my school offered. There were plenty of clubs and organizations I could have joined while I was in college and I missed every single opportunity to join due to my shyness and toxic relationships. I really really wished I’d joined and met new people and build different relationships during that time.
3. I wished I would have explore the city more. I attended Savannah State University and I barely went out to explore my new environment. Savannah is such a historical city and I just feel like I missed out on a lot. (Nothing a trip can’t solve now though lol)
Reflecting on college experiences reveals valuable lessons for current students. Networking is essential; it opens doors to internships and opportunities that can influence career paths after graduation. Many students hesitate due to shyness or fear, but proactive engagement can build lasting relationships that enrich both personal and professional lives. Participating in campus clubs and organizations not only fosters social connections but also helps develop skills such as teamwork and leadership. College offers a unique chance to explore diverse interests and meet people from various backgrounds, enabling growth in ways that remain impactful long after graduation. Moreover, embracing the local environment can enhance the college experience, particularly in cities with rich histories like Savannah. Exploring cultural landmarks and engaging with community events not only broadens perspectives but also creates cherished memories. Students are encouraged to balance academics with exploration, as these experiences often shape career aspirations and personal values.

I should have done the same things! I definitely have regrets 😭
