When I started on this collection, I really wanted to create something that felt fresh and vibrant, almost like a happy pop of color you’d stumble upon in an unexpected place – kind of like discovering awesome street art! While I’m not literally out there with spray cans, I love how digital tools like Procreate allow me to achieve that graphic, eye-catching quality. For instance, the stylized blue cat's face with its bold blue and yellow stripes was an experiment in strong contrasts and playful expression, aiming for that 'graffiti art' feel without losing its cuteness. It’s all about creating characters that jump off the screen or, in this case, off the print! My process usually starts with a spark – maybe a funny animal I saw, or a vivid dream. For the puffin wearing a small golden crown, I imagined a regal little bird in an everyday setting, adding a touch of whimsy. And the blue bird in a yellow hat, vest, and red boots splashing in a puddle? That’s pure joy and character, designed to bring a smile. I think this is where the 'cute' aspect really shines through, combining with bold lines and colors to give a unique graphic punch. One of the most exciting parts is seeing these digital creations become physical prints. It's so rewarding to hold them in my hands!
