One of Us is Lying REVIEW

This book was lowkey so good… 😶🫣 going into it I had a lot of hesitation because I’m 24 and this is a high school mystery drama. It’s like so dramatic and then every few seconds I’d be like “mind you, they’re 17” to myself lol. HOWEVER, once I was about 30% in I was so locked tf innnnnnnnn. I’m not a person who tries to “solve” the mystery while reading a book like this, but I did speculate correctly about the twist about halfway through. I could’ve never guess all the details of the twist though. I actually grew to care about the characters in individual and unique ways, more complicated than like or dislike. The characters were layered and it was surprisingly believable, aside from a bunch of teenagers “solving” a case haha. Their personalities, gossip, and actions felt somehow very natural to me. Overall though, really enjoyed this and will be reading the sequel! 4.5/5 ⭐️
