Disappointing reads of 2024 ☚ī¸đŸ“š

My most disappointing reads of 2024â€Ļ I had a great year for reading, but there were definitely a few books that I thought I’d love and didn’t. Idk if they were overhyped or what, but these were shocking dislikes for me:

Lock the Doors by Vincent Ralph- 3.5/5: So my rating wasn’t even really that bad for this one, but I expected to LOVE it. For starters, I didn’t realize it was YA before starting it, and it’s VERY YA. It also took me forever to finish because it was hard to get into.

The Woman in the Window by A. J. Finn- 3/5: Again, not a horrible rating, but it is rare for me to rate a book 3/5 and under. It was a decent book, but I thought I’d like it more. I kept feeling like “this is good but it would take so little to make it great”. So it was like almost really good, left me wishing the author pushed it just a little bit further.

The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides- 2/5: This book was just not for me. I know it’s a well loved book, but I just didn’t like it at all. This is the only book I rated this low, and it was unfortunately my least favorite read from 2024. I was SO excited to read and love it, but it just fell really flat for me.
