Expanding my library!

I finally started outgrowing my 2 big bookshelves, so I added another! Also, sneaky little look at my nonfiction shelf 😋 it’s a small shelf turned on its side, and then I added legs to make it taller and to give it an almost mid-century modern look! I still need to buy curtains and a good reading chair for my home reading room/office, but I was so excited about how “library-like” the shift from 2 to 3 shelves made it look 🥹 And now I have plenty of room to keep buying books 🤪

... Read moreAs my book collection grows, I've become increasingly invested in creating an inviting and functional reading space. Transitioning from two to three bookshelves not only maximizes storage but also transforms the room's ambiance into a cozy library feel. A well-organized bookshelf can reflect your personality—be it through aesthetic arrangements or thematic collections. For those who are passionate about reading, selecting books can be an ongoing adventure. Recently, I explored various genres ranging from thrillers like Ruth Ware's 'The Woman in Cabin 10' to insightful non-fiction titles that challenge and inspire us. The joy of discovering new authors is akin to embarking on a journey; each book holds the potential to take you into different worlds or impart crucial knowledge. Moreover, don't overlook the importance of functional decor—as I contemplate purchasing curtains and an ergonomic reading chair, I recognize that comfort is key in a reading space. These additions will not only enhance the room's overall look but also create an environment where one can read for hours without distraction. Consider including unique decorations or personal mementos alongside your books; this can foster a sense of identity and warmth in your reading area. As we curate our spaces, let’s consider how these environments can inspire deeper connections with literature. Engaging with book clubs or discussing with fellow readers enhances the experience, ensuring that we're not just passive consumers of stories, but active participants in a rich literary community.
