August reading stats šŸ“šā˜€ļø

This was my slowest month of the year so far 🫣 Love & Other Killers was probably my favorite just because I got to revisit some of my favorite characters ever 🩷

A few stand out books:

Bunny- I started this a long time ago and finally revisited it and finished it. AND I LOVED IT.

Famous Last Words- literally the best thriller I’ve read in a long time. I was HOOKED from the first chapter!!!

I’m a Therapist…- this book was bad. Will be reading # 2 though lol, I can’t help myself

How was your month?

... Read moreAugust was a fascinating month in my reading journey, reflecting a lovely mix of thriller, romance, contemporary fiction, and horror. With an average book length of 327 pages and a completion time of about six days per book, this pace allowed me to savor each story without rushing. One of the highlights was revisiting characters from 'Love & Other Killers,' which brought a refreshing depth to familiar faces and gripping narratives. Digital and audio formats dominated my reading choices, comprising 43% each, showing how technology enriches accessibility and convenience for avid readers. The blend of print was smaller, about 14%, but still played a key role in providing a tactile and nostalgic experience. The top genres for the month were thriller, horror, romance, literary, and contemporary fiction, giving a well-rounded flavor to my reading list. Books like 'Bunny' and 'Famous Last Words' truly stood out. With 'Famous Last Words,' I found myself hooked from the very first chapter, making it one of the best thrillers I've enjoyed in a long time. Its suspense and strong storytelling kept the momentum going, which is often hard to achieve in this genre. Conversely, 'I’m a Therapist...' was a bit disappointing, but I’m already curious to dive into its sequel, showing the pull some stories have despite initial impressions. Throughout August, I also tracked my reading stats using tools like StoryGraph, which helped in analyzing trends, average ratings, and genres, enriching the reflection on what connective elements kept me turning pages. Sharing these stats and impressions connects me with a wider bookish community, including challenges such as #lemon8bookclub and #lemon8challenge, facilitating dynamic conversations about our reading experiences. How did your reading month go? Sharing your picks and pacing can inspire new books and foster a supportive community that celebrates diverse voices and stories. Whether you're into chilling thrillers, heartfelt romances, or comprehensive literary works, there's always something to discover and discuss. Let's keep the conversation going and make the upcoming months even more engaging with fresh reads and thoughtful reflections!
