Tips to READ MORE in 2026 📚🩷

Some tips to read more!! 📚🖤

These tips are not going to work for everyone, and I’m not claiming that you will read 100+ books, but these are the things I did! Keep in mind that I’m 25 with no children (married w/ 2 dogs tho ☺️), so my life will look different than a lot of people! However, I truly believe that if you can implement just one or two of the tips, even if it’s in a small capacity, it will help!

At the end of the day, reading more or reading a lot is not a requirement to be a reader 📚🖤 The only requirement for that is a love of reading ☺️🖤 However, I know I had an urge to make a real commitment to investing time into reading (as a life long reader that just “lost” the time to read as an adult) a couple years ago, and doing so changed my life !!! 📚

... Read moreIf you want to boost your reading habits in 2026, it’s important to understand that not every reading tip works for everyone. For example, some people may find historical romance novels take significantly longer to read, while fast-paced thrillers can keep you turning pages more quickly. Tailoring your book selections to what you truly enjoy is key to sustaining motivation. One of the most effective strategies is to prioritize reading in your daily routine. Even if you have a busy schedule filled with work, family, or hobbies like TV or gaming, carving out a small, dedicated time slot for reading can make a big difference. Some readers listen to audiobooks while doing mindless hobbies such as crafting or coloring, combining leisure activities to maximize time. Creating a comfortable and inviting reading environment can also enhance your experience. Simple touches like cozy blankets, snacks, and fuzzy socks help create a space where you look forward to spending time with a book. This cozy setup can turn short reading sessions into fulfilling moments. Consistency is another cornerstone of reading more. Making reading a habit—whether it’s five minutes each day or a chapter before bed—helps solidify the commitment. Over time, reading becomes easier and more enjoyable, and your reading speed and retention improve. When you feel overwhelmed, planning your reading time can help. Set realistic goals and remind yourself that even small progress counts. Reading isn’t about numbers; it’s about a love of stories and ideas that enrich your life. Finally, remember that everyone’s life situation is unique—what works for a 25-year-old without children may require adaptation if you have different responsibilities. Embrace your own reading style and pace. The goal is to cultivate a lifelong habit that brings you joy and knowledge. In summary, finding the right genres, prioritizing reading, creating a cozy environment, and fostering consistency can transform your reading habits in 2026. Whether you read one book or a hundred, the key is to enjoy the journey and keep turning pages!
