DIY Kindle insert 📚🫶

I love making these cute little kindle inserts! I could make it easy on myself and just design them on canva and print it, but making them with physical craft supplies and stickers brings whimsy to my life 🙂‍↕️💗

I do still love my old one, and will keep it to switch out again eventually, but I wanted a less warm color scheme for winter 🫶 and it’s got little touches to represent the lover girl romance era I’m in right now 💘📚

... Read moreI absolutely adore personalizing my Kindle, and making my own inserts for its clear case has become one of my favorite creative outlets! There's something so special about crafting a unique design that reflects my current mood or favorite books, rather than just downloading a pre-made image. If you're looking for 'kindle insert ideas' or want to achieve that perfect 'kindle clear case insert aesthetic,' let me share some tips and inspiration I've picked up along the way. First things first, what do you need? I love using a mix of physical craft supplies: think cute stickers (transparent ones are great!), old book pages, printed images (search Pinterest for 'vintage collage-style' or 'cottagecore aesthetic' for tons of inspiration!), washi tape, and even pressed flowers if you're feeling fancy. Sometimes, I'll print out quotes like 'It is never too late to fall in love' or images of 'doves' and 'butterflies' to add that extra touch to my 'purple-themed' inserts. Once you have your supplies, the fun begins! Measure your Kindle screen or your existing insert to get the right dimensions. Then, start layering your chosen elements. I usually create a base layer, then add stickers, cut-outs, and text overlays like 'REFRESH MY kindle WITH ME' to truly make it my own. Don't be afraid to experiment with different themes – maybe a 'lover girl romance era' vibe like mine, or something cozy for winter. The beauty of a clear case is that you can easily slide your finished insert right in, protecting it and making it visible all at once. It’s a simple way to give your Kindle a complete refresh without permanent changes. If you're stuck for 'kindle insert ideas,' Pinterest is your best friend! Seriously, search for 'kindle clear case aesthetic' or 'bookish craft ideas' and you'll find a treasure trove of inspiration. I often look for specific color palettes, like my recent 'purple-themed' one, or themes like vintage travel, celestial, or even minimalist designs. Thinking about the books I'm currently reading or my favorite genres helps too. For example, if I'm reading a fantasy novel, I might incorporate imagery of mythical creatures or enchanted forests. The possibilities are endless! To make sure your beautiful creation lasts, I always recommend securing your elements with a thin layer of glue stick or clear tape, especially if they're small. Once it's all put together, sliding it into your clear case (as shown in 'IN THE CASE :)' where mine sits snugly) keeps it safe from wear and tear. It also means you can swap them out whenever you want a new look, just like I do when I 'REFRESH MY kindle WITH ME' for a new season or mood. It's a delightful little ritual that adds so much joy to my reading experience.
